Sub Zero Refrigerator Repair

sub-zero_brandSub-Zero Appliance Company was established in 1947 when the Wolf Cooking Company decided they wanted to have sub-company that would focus on refrigeration methods. Since rolling out their first appliance not too long after the end of World War Two, Sub-Zero appliances have gotten quite a reputation for creating a high priced appliance. The brand is loved by cooking experts who appreciate having a reliable piece of equipment to keep their food cool and perfectly preserved, and interior designers who enjoy how easily the appliances can be worked into all types of decorating schemes.

Although they got their start primarily marketing standard freezers and refrigerators, there is now and entire line of Sub-Zero appliances, including:

  • Wine coolers
  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • Under counter units
  • Built in refrigerators

At Appliance Repair Pro’s we get lots of calls from customers in need of Sub-Zero appliances repair. The high number of calls has nothing to do with the product being flawed or poorly made, they’re not, but rather because a large number of L.A. residents have fallen in love with the brand and made sure their kitchens have been stocked with these attractive models. As the units age, they need a little TLC to keep them in good working order, which is exactly what we provide.

Sub-Zero Freezer Repairs

When you notice that your Sub-Zero freezer doesn’t seem to be keeping your products a cold as you would like, one of the first things you need to check will be its balance. If the unit gets rocked to one side, it sometimes stops working properly. If you push on the top of the Sub-Zero freezer and it rocks to and fro, you know the four corners aren’t touching the ground and you’ll need to reposition the appliance.

Although it’s not nearly as common with this brand as with some of the others, you should take a few minutes to check out the door and make sure the seal is working properly. If you run your hand along the side of the closed door, and feel cool air, the seal needs to be replaced.

Even though the brand is designed to run smoothly for a long time, it’s impossible to do so if the machine if full of dust and pet hair. A big part of avoiding emergency Sub-Zero freezer repairs will be regularly cleaning both inside and behind your appliance. While cleaning and defrosting your freezer, remember that if you overload the interior, your food won’t freeze evenly.

If you have checked out your unit and you can’t find an obvious reason for it to not be working, give us a call and set up an appointment for Sub-Zero freezer repair. We offer same day, low stress services.

Sub-Zero Refrigerators

We really don’t suggest you try repairing your Sub-Zero refrigerator by yourself. Even though the problem might seem like it will be easy enough to handle, one of the reasons that this brand is a high end appliance has to do with all special features the refrigerator has attached to it. The more special features, the harder the repair will be. More often than not, homeowners who try to handle the situation on their own end up doing more damage than good. The fact that the Sub-Zero company has a poor customer service department who rarely answers questions makes the process even more complicated. As soon as you notice your unit has stopped functioning properly, you should give us a call. We have a great deal of experience working with Sub-Zero refrigerator repair and will get your unit up and running again.

These guys really know their Sub Zero refrigerators. I had another company come out to fix my Sub Zero and wasn’t happy with their outrageous quote. Appliance Repair Pros came out for a second opinion and quoted me about half what the other company wanted to charge. They said the other company diagnosed it wrong. My fridge now works like new.
